Cozy Christmas Cookie Class @ Elys Wimbledon
Want to learn to decorate beautiful and delicious cookies, sure to impress? We're here to help! In this 2-hour class, we'll cover the basics of decorating sugar cookies (it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about the techniques to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing. The cost of the class covers everything you'll need, including a warm drink and snack – just bring a positive attitude (and maybe an apron).
You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! Looking forward to having you with us.

We prepare everything before class so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!
This class is for the beginner biscuit decorator or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about and wants to enjoy an afternoon out with good fun and good company. If you have limited experience with cookie decorating, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you.
This class is on 14th December and starts at 2pm sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer questions along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring colleagues - we're a friendly bunch. It's a great afternoon, whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!
This class is for ages 16 and up, but if you'd like to decorate with your kids at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)!
The class will be held at the Elys Wimbledon. It's easy to get to by public transport.
FAQ
What will I be doing in the class?
Besides having tonnes of fun? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.
Do I need to know how to bake?
Nope! We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and coloured.
What will we learn in class?
You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies – we’ll touch on tips and tricks to make your cookies look even better than they taste (and they taste great). You’ll also learn different decorating techniques. Or hey – go off script and make your own designs – it’s your class! Have fun!
What do I need to bring?
Nothing but a positive attitude! Everything will be provided for you, all you need to do is join us and have fun!
What age is best for cookie classes?
On this occasion we are limiting attendees to those 16+. If you think your child may enjoy cookie decorating, purchase an additional take-home kit and you can teach your kids in the comfort of your own home.

This class is designed just for adults, but stay tuned and sign up to our newsletter -- we have classes for the whole family coming soon!
What will I bring home?
By the end of the class, you will have created a set of six gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 - 48 hours in their own box. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!
Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?
You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We have a limited capacity, so please sign up ASAP!
Where are the classes located?
This class will be held at Elys Wimbledon, two minutes walk from Wimbledon station in London.
I signed up for a class but can't make it?
We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 7 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a lovely friend you are). Any cancelation after the 7 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to six months from the credit issue date. Please read below for full Cancelation Policies.
Cancelation / Refund / Sick Policy
Before 7 Days Out:
If you’re sick prior to the 7-day refund cutoff, you can cancel for a full refund! And might we say thank you for quarantining. Just email us.
After 7-Days Out:
For any sickness prior to your class’s start time but after the 7-day refund policy, please email us before your class’s start time, and we’ll give you a credit for the next class.
You Don't Show Up or Email Prior To Class:
If I do not hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit even if you're sick. So please reach out before class if you’re feeling unwell.
Ingredients
Cookies include the following ingredients: Sugar, flour (WHEAT), butter (MILK), plant butter, EGGS, glucose syrup, cornflour, vanilla extract, meringue powder (EGGS), salt, food colourings (some of which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children).
Please note – these cookies are prepared in a kitchen that also bakes with common, known allergens including fish, nuts, peanuts, mustard, and sesame. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, there is always a small risk.
Please consider your allergies before registering.
Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host, or the pub. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund.
Classes with attendance below the minimum required will be cancelled. Don’t be sad! You'll receive either a credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund. I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 7 day before the event is cancelled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.
